Working with VFC has been a pleasure. Email responses were detailed despite waiting 3-5 business days for a response. They are always willing to help out when you need it.

Venture for Canada team was very helpful and did an excellent job connecting me with an excellent team.

The students who worked on the project were stellar! Great attention to detail, and dedication to our team goals. We had a lot of fun completing our project.

Lots of good work, discussion and ideas from the team. A team of five was difficult to organize and find times for meetings that worked for everyone, especially since the team was located coast-to-cost across five time zones.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Venture for Canada and the students provided by Venture for Canada. Looking forward to the next project!

A good experience

Venture for Canada was very helpful and responsive throughout the engagement. They matched us with some great students who were able to assist our business. I would recommend working with them.

I enjoyed working with my intern team, each individual providing collaborative participation in the project based on their educational background and work experiences. It was a pleasure to work with Mostafa, Arezoo and Shaan. I think the Venture for Canada program is a great way for students to gain real life work experiences while providing mentorship and project opportunities for employers too.

Good experience

Great overall. Would be better if the program spanned more weeks. 70 hours was a lot for the students (and mentors) to fit into 6 weeks.

The assigned student abandoned their placement without any word + seemed to have removed all the files that they worked on. I also haven't heard back from VFC team when I emailed them to see what's happening. I love the mandate + VFC program but this was not the most ideal project experience.

I got ghosted. I had one interview with an applicant, never heard back from her.

Our student resigned us on on Day 2, so we never even started this project.

We appreciate very much the VFC program and the participation of students on our project. The type of collaboration helps both our project and gives learning and hands on experience for the students. We like to re-apply in the next enrollment periods.

Great initiative by VFC. Given that they already select the candidates for the project makes things easier and the students didn't disappoint. Not only did this program help with providing resourceful students but also helped with my own growth. Looking forward to the next cohort. Cheers!

Students should be trained or made aware that project deliverables are required in order to receive pay. Otherwise some may take advantage of the program without producing any outputs or deliverables.

I deeply appreciate the opportunity to be paired with student interns to further the work of my business. I was initially paired with three students but two of my students did not make it to the end of the project. It's unfortunate that we were not able to complete the project, as designed.

We were very disappointed with this groups effort. We had asked been matched with this group who during our many meetings seemed to engaged and even excited about the project only to deliver nothing. Our project didn’t change but somehow their feedback falsely indicates that they were not paired with us properly and had no direct given to them. We were looking forward to the Intrapreneurship program and our experience has left us feeling like we wasted a lot of time and are being lied about on a social platform. Very disappointed to say the least.

Venture for Canada (VFC) allows Canadian students to gain the relevant, real-life work experience they need to enter the workforce. This is especially important during the current pandemic when student work placements are stifled. We were happy to participate in the program and will consider another project in the future. The students do not seemed to have been wll prepared beforehand on working with companies. It was a very handoff apporach I find.

The engagement was a learning experience for me and the students.

I really wanted to make use of this program and share an interesting opportunity with students, but I ended up being left high and dry in terms of understanding and executing the program. I contacted multiple people to request help in understanding the process and never received responses after I explained my confusion.

The students were a pleasure to get to know and work with! The team exhibited great leadership and team work. Areas of improvement include initiative, attention to detail, and obsession with results. Please note that some students were clearly stronger performers than others.
